"God saw you were getting tired and a cure was not to be;
So He put His arms around you and whispered,
"Come with Me"."

Darlene "Del" Westphal of Vancouver, WA, passed away March 30, 2011. She was born March 11, 1928 in Minot, ND to Elsie Anderson. Del moved to Vancouver in 1947.
Del worked at Nabisco for 34 years as a line supervisor and retired in 1984. We especially enjoyed the eclairs she brought home from work.
Del enjoyed square dancing, traveling, bunco, camping, river rafting and tole painting. She loved cooking and baking, mom made the best pies.
The most important thing in Del's life was being
with her family, there is nothing that made her happier.
Del is survived by her husband of 64 years, Jim; daughter, Cindy Nortz; son, Lon Westphal; grandchildren, Jay Westphal, Angie Wilson, Cory Westphal and Tim Westphal; seven great-grandchildren, Molly, Sidney, Skylar, Nicholas, Garrett, Ethan, and Ireland who lovingly called her Nanny.
She was preceded in death by three brothers and one sister.
A memorial service will be held on Fri., April 8, 2011 at 12:30 at Evergreen Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be sent to alz.org/join_the_cause_donate.
