MACWILLIAMS
February 1, 1965 ~ July 13, 2018

Charles MacWilliams, age 53, passed away suddenly at home in Vancouver, WA on July 13, 2018. He was born to Sylvia and Gordon MacWilliams, Feb. 1, 1965 in Brattleboro, VT. Charles lived most of his life in Vancouver, graduating from Fort Vancouver High School and Clark College.
He was a veteran, serving in the U.S. Army reserves, training as an Operating Room Tech.
Charles was employed at Oregon Steel, Skychefs and the Transportation Security Authority (TSA). In recent years Charles was unable to work due to health issues.
He was a lover of animals and volunteered providing care for dogs, especially Sadie and Ollie.
In early days Charles enjoyed the outdoors, camping with family and scouts and climbing Mt. Hood. He achieved the honor of Eagle Scout as a member of Troop 337. Charles enjoyed music, played trumpet and guitar and had an extensive collection of recorded music. Charles was an avid sports fan supporting Boston Celtics, Red Sox and Patriots as well as having a keen interest in tennis.
Charles leaves behind his mother, Sylvia MacWilliams of Vancouver, uncle, Richard MacWilliams of Northborough MA; aunt, Lydia Clackson in England; a number of cousins; and his friends, Paul and Ken Smith and Dirk Levy, will especially miss him.
He was predeceased by his father, Gordon MacWilliams.
