Obituary

CHARLENE ZIMMEHT
May 22, 1929 ~ February 7, 2011
I have lived with wonder, I still feel the joy, I own the experience.

Charlene Zimmeht of Vancouver, WA, passed away on Feb. 7, 2011. She was born on May 22, 1929 in Lincoln, NE to Esther and Raymond Farlin. Charlene graduated from University High School in Los Angeles, where she met the love of her life, John.
She attended Santa Monica City College. Following college, she and John married and shared 56 happy years together.
She was an avid quilter, winning several ribbons at the Clark County Fair and sharing memories and funny stories with her many quilting friends.
She was a wonderful mother and will be dearly missed.
Charlene is survived by her daughters, Holly (Dick) McCartney, Laurie (Patrick) Bourcier; son, John; grandchildren, Rob McCartney, Katy Hale, Mary Martinson, Jennifer Rae, Julie McCartney, Stephanie Evett, Mike Bourcier and Erik Zimmeht; and ten great-grandchildren.
The family would like to thank Kaiser Hospice, Fort Vancouver Convalescent Center, and the staff at Clearwater Springs for their wonderful compassionate care.
There will be no service.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Kaiser Permanente Hospice, 2701 NW Vaughan St., Suite 140, Portland, OR 97210.
