CAROLYN IRENE PILLETTE
October 27, 1963 ˜ December 12, 2018
Carolyn Irene Pillette, a much loved daughter, sister, aunt, partner, and friend passed away peacefully on December 12, 2018, at the age of 55. She had bravely confronted and fought cancer and now rests pain free with her dad and mom, Jim and Dorothy.
Carolyn was born on October 27, 1963, in Spokane, Washington, and resided in Ketchikan, Alaska, with her partner, Colleen Coggins, for the past 12 years. She graduated from Camas High School in 1982 and subsequently earned her certification in Phlebotomy.
Carolyn was a born nurturer which started during high school as her being a lifeguard at the Camas Community Pool, then as a full-time nanny in Trenton, New Jersey, for two doctors and their two children, she then was a certified phlebotomist at The Vancouver Clinic, and eventually caregiver for her mother who sadly passed away from her battle with COPD.
Carolyn loved to laugh, have fun and make people smile. She had a light-filled, wonderful soul and it showed through her daily endeavors. She is terribly missed.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, January 26, 2019 at The Salud Event Center from 1:00 3:00 p.m. (224 NE 3rd Avenue, in Camas).

Family and friends! Carolyn always had a smile and a chuckle over something. Her Grandma Betty, my mom, Lenore and Carolyn all shared the same birthday..Oct 27th. Rest in peace and you are with your family in heaven now. Prayers for Colleen, her brothers and their families.

She was a dear friend for many years, since Kindergarten. Have many childhood memories hanging out together. She always had a way to make me smile or crack up. Especially with her "nose flare". If I was in a bad mood, she just had to do that with a huge smile. And I would forget about the mood. I'll always carry you in my heart & keep the memories close.

I remember Carolyn from high school. She had a great sense of humor and was always smiling and making me laugh. We used to go for lunch at Top Burger or Pizza Palace. I had not seen her for so many years but I thought of her often. My sincere condolences to her family and friends.

Oh, how she made me laugh!! My memories of Carolyn, began in grade school and continued right up to the last text I received from her in October.
She was a fighter from the get go and that determination got her through many years battling her cancer. I admired her fight! ! She remained positive and kept her humor all the way!
My prayers and thoughts go out to Colleen, her brothers and all her extended family and those who loved her!
