CAROL JENSEN
December 24, 1937 ˜ May 29, 2020

Carol Jensen, age 82, passed away peacefully May 29, 2020 due to Alzheimer’s. She was born December 24, 1937 in Butte, Montana to Dean and Sara Watkins.
Carol married the love of her life, Kenneth Jensen, in June of 1959 and soon after moved to Vancouver, Washington.
Carol was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who always put the needs of others before her own. Her cheerful attitude and wonderful sense of humor made her a joy to be around. Carol was always busy and rarely still. On the rare occasion she found herself without a task, project or mission, you would find her crocheting a blanket or embroidering a pillowcase for others. Carol loved her home and the acreage it sat on, mainly because of the view, but also for the many opportunities it offered for her to stay active.
For almost 25 years, Carol worked at Alcoa in Vancouver, Washington. Beginning as an administrative assistant in the early sixties to becoming the production scheduler for the entire foundry up until the company moved to reorganize in the mid-eighties. Carol elected to take an early retirement and went back to school to obtain an Accounting degree. A few years later, with degree in hand, she worked for numerous companies during the fall and winter months freeing the spring and summer for her and Ken to travel around the country in their motorhome, square dancing, and enjoying time with friends and family.
Carol was a wonderful mother and grandmother who loved her family very much. She was an excellent example of how a person should act when facing any issue. Her integrity, quick wit, positive outlook and love were some of the greatest gifts she gave her family.
Carol is survived by her husband, Ken; sisters, Agnes, Sally, Bonnie; brother, Dean; her son, Scott; daughter-in-law, Teresa; daughter, Shelley; son-in-law, Darren; grandchildren, Jennifer, Brittany, Ryan, Logan; and great-grandchild, Cole.

Carol was a very dear close friend to me. We met at Glenwood Community Church. We did activities together such as Christmas food boxes for several years, our church STM & etc. She was the one who got me going in activities. She was such a friendly loving person. I thank God for putting her in my life. I remember her baptism at church. She came out to me in the lobby with all that wet hair. She was so happy about that. She gave of herself freely helping others.
