Anita 'Grandma Daisy' passed away on December 31, 2017 at Peacehealth hospital after having two strokes on Christmas Day. She was recovering and fought hard for six days. She was surrounded by family at her time of passing that evening.
Anita Mae Freeman was born in Oregon City, Oregon on December 14, 1930. She married her true love, James Hambleton, Sr. on June 26, 1948 and later had three children. Her husband was co-owner of Hambleton Lumber and passed away in 1991.
She was an avid Starbucks latte drinker, artist, doll collector, traveler, gardener, and designer. She was infamous for taking family members on "Daisy Adventures." She was fun loving, had a great sense of humor, loved watching the Columbia River from her patio in the summer, and family always came first to her.
Anita 'Grandma Daisy' is survived by her three children, nine grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, their spouses, and numerous other family and friends.
A memorial service will be held at Evergreen Memorial Gardens on January 12, 2018 at 3:00 p.m.
