Shirley Bienerth Obituary

SHIRLEY JEAN BIENERTH
1947 ~ 2017

Shirley Jean Bienerth passed away December 29th, 2017 at the age of 70. She grew up in Poland, Ohio where she attended school before going to college at Kent State. Shirley graduated in 1969 and married Ted Bienerth in 1970. They moved from Ohio to Sydney, Australia with their young son and lived there for two years, where she had her daughter. They moved back to the states and lived in Florida for 5 years where her second son was born. Shirley moved from Florida to Alaska for one year before heading south on the Alcan Highway to live in Kennewick, WA. While busy raising three kids, she achieved her Master's Degree in Education and became an elementary school teacher. She lived in Kennewick for almost 30 years before moving to Vancouver, WA, where she retired in 2012 after 30 years of teaching.
Shirley was the daughter of Ruth and Don of Poland, Ohio, and the loving sister to Ronnie and Dick. She was a doting mother to her three children, Bret (Macy), Jodie (Todd), and Mark, attending endless soccer games and always providing support and a loving ear. She cherished spending time with her children and grandchildren, Shelby, Street, and Riley, who were the light of her life. She was a staple at sporting events, dance recitals, rowing regattas, and any other event and milestone in their lives.
She made friends with everyone she met and was famous for her cookies. She loved being outside working in her yard, camping trips to the mountains, and doing her word searches.
