MICHAEL JACK LITTLE
November 19, 2000 ˜ October 28, 2018
Michael Jack Little, 17, lost his life to Cancer and joined his dad to fly fish in heaven on Oct. 28, 2018 surrounded by his family. Though the cancer took his life, it never took his infectious laugh and smile.
Michael was born on Nov. 19, 2000 in Vancouver, WA and was currently enrolled as a senior at Hudson’s Bay High School. Recently before his death, Michael was chosen to be a Mr. Hudson’s Bay contestant, a fundraising pageant that raises money for Doernbecher Children’s Hospital where he was treated.
Michael enjoyed playing lacrosse and soccer where he met many of his friends, and served as an inspiration to others when he returned to soccer after he ended his cancer treatment.
After his own experience with cancer, Michael hoped to become a social worker in which he could use his firsthand experience to give back and help other kids battle the cruel disease.
Michael is survived by his mom, Sharyn Little and stepfather, Arik Odegard; sister, Lauren Little; his stepbrother, Alik Odegard; grandmother, Geneva Shenk; and by his many friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Scott Little; grandparents, Jack and Lynn Little; and his grandfather, Rodney Shenk.
A Celebration of Life will be held for Michael at Hudson’s Bay High School on Sun., Dec. 9 at 4 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks to please make a donation in Michael’s name to Camp Ukandu, a camp for kids that are currently battling or have previously battled cancer, or to LEAP a therapeutic wilderness camp.

My heart goes out to Sharyn, Lauren and the entire Little family. Michael was one of the sweetest, friendly and happy boys to go through Discovery. His smile would light up his whole face and made those around him do the same. I was so happy to get to know him and thoroughly enjoyed Sharyn as her kids progressed through the school, first Lauren and then Michael. They were one of my favorite family's and enjoyed them immensely. Please accept my heartfelt condolences at this time. I know he is a bright light in heaven shining down. Prayers to you all.
