MADELINE EVELYN FOSS

It is with great sorrow to announce the passing of Madeline Evelyn Foss on Friday, May 4, 2018. She passed away peacefully at her home with her children and family by her side.
Madeline was born May 16, 1922 in Bottineau County, ND to Amel and Elizabeth Anderson. She moved to Vancouver, WA in 1955 with her husband and family. They settled into her existing residence in 1961.
Madeline's passions were her children, family, relatives, friends and shopping.
The family gives a heartfelt thanks to Pastors Kathy and Peter Braafladt of Messiah Lutheran Church, the care givers at PeaceHealth Hospital in Vancouver, WA and ComForCare Home Care in Vancouver, WA.
She will be greatly missed and greatly rejoiced
for her unconditional love, devotion,
support and direction in life.
Madeline is survived by her children, Dennis Peterson (Mary), Leah Crumpacker (Charles), Connie Horne, Debra Torgeson (Tom) and Marlo Foss (Candace); along with 12 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great- grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by husbands, Gustav Peterson and Meroon "Mac" Foss; sisters, Mayme Peterson and Alice Patterson; great-grandchildren, Rachel Crumpacker and Brian Willahan; and son-in-law, Ron Horne.
Services will be held this Friday, May 11, 2018 at 10 a.m. and viewing at 9 a.m. at Evergreen Memorial Gardens, 1101 NE 112th Ave., Vancouver, WA 98684. Reception will follow.
In lieu of flowers and gifts, the family requests a donation to Messiah Lutheran Church, 905 NW 94th St., Vancouver, WA 98665.
