LYNN CLIFTON ABRAHAMSON
August 5, 1923 ~ January 21, 2016
Lynn Clifton Abrahamson, 92, died in Vancouver, WA on Jan. 21, 2016, with his family by his side. His parents came to the U.S.A. in the 1890's from Vaasa, Finland. Lynn was born and raised in La Center, WA - the last-born in a family of ten children. He graduated from La Center High School.
Lynn married Ila Marcella Wiwel, also from La Center, on Jan. 23, 1949.
Lynn spent most of his working life as a carpenter in Vancouver, WA. As a multi-skilled craftsman, he built three houses for his own family, doing most of the work himself.
In 1982, Lynn bore the heartbreak of losing his wife, Marcy. He never remarried.
During retirement, Lynn especially enjoyed music, ballroom dancing, traveling, and living next-door to his grandchildren.
Lynn is survived by his son, Lynn Peter Abrahamson; daughter, Annette Amanda Bartausky and son-in-law, Russell Bartausky; five grandchildren, Ty (Lisa) Bartausky, Marcella (Clint) Idsinga, Jed (Tamason) Bartausky, Patri Bartausky, and Peter Bartausky; and seven great-grandchildren: Jonathan, Evangeline, Donovan, Matthew, Kae, Elijah, and Grace.
A small graveside memorial service was held on Jan. 23, 2016.

I'm sad no one let me know Uncle Lynn passed away. Even at this late date my love and expression of sympathy to his family. I'll let his sister Sydney's family know.
