FRANS JOHN HANSON
April 14, 1931 ~ August 3, 2017
Frans John Hanson, 86, passed away on August 3rd, 2017, at his home in Battle Ground, WA surrounded by his family. He was born on April 14, 1931 in Detroit, MI.
Frans graduated from Farmington High School in Michigan in 1949. He served in the Marine Corps from 1950-1952. He moved to Clark County, WA in 1958. Frans worked at Freightliner Corporation and retired as a tool and die maker in 1993 after 35 years.
Frans enjoyed working in his yard, woodworking, and spending time with his family and friends. He was a lifelong member of the Old Apostolic Lutheran Church.
Frans was preceded in death by his parents, Leonard and Francis Hanson; his wife, Carol, of 45 years; his brothers, William and Albert; and his sisters, Lillian Hanson and Bertha Cunningham.
He is survived by his sons, Jeff with Marcelle and Brian with Karen; his daughters, Jacqueline with Lon McClellan, Melanie with Rick Sanborn, Holly with Rick Brown, Lisa with Troy Levanen, and Heidi Hanson; 11 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; his brothers, Leo and James; and his sisters, Mary Scheffler, Clara Hanson, and Margaret Hanson.
Funeral services will be held at the Old Apostolic Lutheran Church at 16603 NE 142nd Ave., Brush Prairie, WA on Thursday, August 10th at 2:00 p.m. Viewing will be held one hour before the service.

I worked with Fran and his brother Leo at Freightliner. We had lots of great memories . Always a smile and a joke! He will be missed but never forgotten! Stan Snodgrass ,Vancouver,WA.

So sorry for your loss, He was so nice when he dated my sister Pat. I was only 8 or 9, but had such a crush. Wish I had made the time to visit him this past year.

It was so wonderful to reconnect with Fran after 67 years. I had fond memories of him when I was just a small child. He was loved by our whole family. He will be missed.
