FAY L. YENNE ROSENCRANS
June 19, 1918 ˜ December 24, 2018
Fay Lenora Yenne Rosencrans, 100 years of age, went to be with her Lord Dec. 24, 2018 at Pleasant Family Home Care in Vancouver, WA. She was born June 19, 1918 in Kalispell, MT the first of 4 children for Walter Ray and Nora Fay Yenne. Her father worked as a “pond man” for sawmills and they moved a lot as the mills moved. Fay attended many schools in her life, graduating from high school in Woodland, WA where she met her husband Kenneth C. Rosencrans.
Kenneth and Fay were married July 7, 1936 and were married over 80 years until his death Dec. 15, 2016. They lived in Amboy, WA the early part of their marriage, eventually moving to Vancouver, then Camas/Washougal area where they lived for many years.
Fay was first and foremost a homemaker and mom to her 4 children. When the children were older she worked in the kitchen of Washougal High School, then for dentist Dr. LeRoy Nelson as his chair-side assistant.
She was a long time member of Bethel Community Church in Washougal, WA.
Fay was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth; parents; brothers, Walter, James and Roy Yenne; and son-in-law, Richard Shaw.
She is survived by her children: Dolores Shaw, Darlene (Jim) Williams, Janet (Roy) Sundberg, Jim (Claudia) Rosencrans; 8 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held Wed., Jan. 2, 2019, 1:00 p.m., Bethel Community Church, 1438 B St., Washougal, WA. Private interment will be at Evergreen Memorial Gardens, Vancouver, WA.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Bethel Community Church, PO Box 388, Washougal, WA 98671.

I remember Fay and Ken when they were neighbors at Hazel Dell Estates, and was so glad when he passed away that she was able to still live here for awhile.Wonderful couple and wonderful lady.

I was a brand new dental hygienist in 1970 and worked for Dr. Nelson. I remember how kind and patient your mom was as I learned how to be a member of a dental team. May she rest in peace.
