ERMA BERNIECE WINTERROTH
June 5, 1928 ˜ November 27, 2018
Erma Berniece Winterroth, age 90, passed away Tues., Nov. 27, 2018 in Ridgefield, WA after a year-long battle with brain cancer. She was born June 5, 1928 to Charles William and Anna Marie Thompson, the youngest of 10 children of that hearty North Dakota family.
Erma always lived life as she wanted and took care of everyone as best she could. She was known by her many nieces and nephews as the “Glamorous and Fun” aunt. She was equally as close with her brothers and sisters. The entire family enjoyed spending time with each other all through their lives.
Her generosity and unwavering desire to help others is what she will be most remembered by. She was truly an inspiration and prime example of how people should treat each other. She will be greatly missed by many.
Erma is survived by her brother, Harold; son, Jeff; daughter, Julie; grandchildren, Sheldon, Derek, Ellie and Brennan; and three great-grandchildren.
We want to express our sincerest gratitude for all of the friends, family, and caregivers that made her finals weeks as loving and comfortable as possible.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a future date.

I was fortunate enough to know Erma as a fellow PUD employee many years ago. She was a friendly, wonderful lady, never aging since the day she retired. We were all envious of that trait! She will definitely be missed. Please be sure to notify those of us who worked with her when the Celebration of Life is scheduled because there are many of us who would like to share in that event. My sincere condolences in your loss.

I have so many memories of parties and other happy times our family (Dave & Eunice Christensen, my sister Teri and I) spent with the beautiful, fun-loving dear lady we called "Butch" when I was a little girl. May wonderful memories of all the times you shared with Erma and appreciation for all she meant to you continue to enrich your lives.
