DOROTHY RAE DAHLQUIST
July 20, 1942 ~ April 16, 2011

Dorothy Rae Dahlquist of Hockinson, WA, passed away very unexpectedly on Sat., April 16th, 2011. She was born on July 20, 1942.
Dorothy married Melvin Dahlquist in 1970, and spent the next 32 years building their lives in the Vancouver area. Dorothy was a stay-at-home mom and was involved in Hockinson schools, Campfire, and Girl and Boy Scouts. After 20+ years, she returned to work, first at Burgerville, and later worked at the Battle Ground Clinic.
In her retirement, Dorothy was a homebody who loved sewing, gardening, participating in JOY Bible, and spending time with her grandchildren and friends.
Dorothy is best known for her special sewing talent
and genuine care and concern for others. She has made
an impact on so many people because of her generous heart.
She will be missed so much.
Survivors include: sisters, Diane and Delores; son, Eric (Jennifer); daughter, Kandi (Travis) White; granddaughters, Kaelyn and Abby.
There will be a Celebration of Life on Fri., April 22nd at 3:00 p.m. at Salmon Creek United Methodist Church (reception following).

You were an AWESOME GREAT AUNT!!! All of the help you have given me and my family has been appreciated. I will always remember you. Your impact will forever be felt within the family and to all those whose lives you have touched.
