JUDY LYNN YARBROUGH
March 22, 1944 ~ March 2, 2011
Judy Lynn Yarbrough, 66, of Ridgefield, WA, passed away on March 2, 2011. She was born the last of eight children to Joseph and Ione Yarbrough in Oregon City, OR.
Judy never met a stranger, as she considered you a friend when she met you. She had the gift of genuinely caring about others and making hem feel that they mattered because you did to her. She showered her family and friends with love and the best cooking. People drove for miles to eat a meal at her table, as it was always a special event even if it was an everyday affair.
Judy loved animals and was dog and cat grandma long before she began her life as Ethan, Chloe, and Olivia's grandma (or Gam Gam as Chloe called her). She lived the last years of her life in what she considered to be her dream home, surrounded by happy children and beautiful animals, and she spoke often of how blessed she was. Always grateful for even the small things, she expressed joy in life in many ways, often passing it forward to others...whether with money, a helping hand, a meal, or simply a hug. She was a mother and a friends to many people who love and will miss her, but will forever cherish their memories of her!
Judy is survived by her daughter, Judy House; her three grandchildren, Ethan, Chloe, and Olivia; her beloved older sister, Doris and her husband, Scotty; a number of nieces and nephews, including Kathy and her husband, Bill; dear friends, Janet and Randy Wurtele; and a legion of friends from her life's journeys!!
A service will be held Sat., April 9th, 2011 at Evangelical Church, 111 5th St., La Center, WA, 2:00-4:00 p.m. with a pot luck to follow.
