CARRELL FRANCIS BENNETT
September 22, 1929 ˜ January 9, 2019
Carrell was a long time resident of Clark County, WA, graduating from Union High School and Clark College, receiving a degree in Agriculture.
He was a well-respected dairy farmer. Carrell served in the Guernsey Cattle Club, on the Drainage Ditch commission and with various conservation projects. A member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, he enjoyed serving as a BSA Scoutmaster for many years. Carrell and DeYon served a mission at the Bishop’s Storehouse in Portland, OR. He continued that service after their mission by working with local charities to distribute food to those in need.
An avid hunter and fisherman, he loved the outdoors and the natural beauty of this area. He always referred to it as ‘God’s Country.’
What he loved most was being with his family; everyone was always welcome, whether he was hanging out at the barns or clamming and crabbing on the coast.
Carrell is survived by his children: DiAnne Berry, Garry L. Bennett, Randy C. Bennett, Melanie S. Malin, Daniel B. Bennett and Wendy L. Garcia; 43 grandchildren; 42 1/2 great-grandchildren; and sisters, Joyce (Gillas) Marsden and Kathleen (Olsen) Allred.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, DeYon G. (Wallace) Bennett; daughter, Kellie Bennett; and brother, Howard J. Bennett and wife, Mary (Mathias) Bennett.
