MICHAEL PAUL PYE
February 8, 1949 ~ February 11, 2015
Mike was diagnosed with lung cancer so recently, there was no time for him to battle and conquer the wretched disease. It was a privilege for family and friends of this dear man to keep vigil at his side until life's peaceful end.
Mike lost his identical twin brother, Pat, 28 months ago - the family lost a loved one but Mike truly lost a part of himself. Up until then, if you said Mike's name, pretty much you would follow up with Pat's. Those two crazy guys shared life and experiences and adventures and sports from their beginning, and Mike (a great story teller) could regale his audience as he recounted those Pye-brother tales to the delight and laughter of those present. What fun he was and what a huge sense of humor he had!
Michael retired last February from Clark Regional Waste Water District after 21 years of service and was very much enjoying his retirement. He had time for customizing his classic vehicles, weekly domino games, remodeling his home, spending time with family and friends. In his life, he had been an avid surfer, fisherman, water skier, golfer, snow skier, competitive pool player, loved camping and boating, and racing his Sprint boat with brother, Pat.
Mike is survived by his beloved children, Melissa (Jason Vogan) and Jason (Pam Lee); three marvelous grandchildren who were the joys of his life - Aaron, Aaliyah, and Trenten; brother, Johnny Wiggins (Yvonne); sisters, Barbara Mills (Frank), Sharon Jernagan (Ronnie); father, Robert Pye (Cheryl); a great number of nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles; and his close and loving friend, Joan Sarris.
His mother, Charlotte Wiggins; step-father, Bill Wiggins; and two brothers, Pat and Ronnie Pye, preceded Mike in death.
We grieve for our dear Mikey because we love him so, however, there is a reunion coming one day! He met the Savior Jesus!
A celebration of Mike's life will be held at the Sportsman Bar and Grill, 121 N Main Street, Ridgefield, WA 98642, on Saturday, February 28, 3:00 p.m.
