JEAN COLLEEN REMINGTON
November 17, 1926 ~ May 3, 2011
Jean Colleen Remington of Vancouver, WA, passed away on May 3, 2011 in the loving arms of her children. She was born in Wenatchee, WA on Nov. 17, 1926 to Henry and Esther Davison. Jean grew up in Home Valley, WA and moved to Vancouver with her family and graduated from Providence Academy in 1945.
She met her husband, Robert Remington, while working at the shipyards during World War II.
Jean was a homemaker for years, then she went to work at Meier and Frank where she retired.
Jean is survived by her brothers, Arthur and Richard Davison; her children, Rita Cook (Keith), Timothy Remington (Mary), Annette Steinmetz (Kevin) and Bridget Murphy (Patrick); eight grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and later in life, she shared her love of home, gardening, art and books with her faithful companion, Bob Leininger.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Robert.
Her family would like to extend a special thanks to the wonderful staff of Highgate Senior Living.
A memorial service will be held at Evergreen Memorial Gardens on Sat., May 14, 2011 at 10:00 a.m.
Donations may be made in her memory to the SW Washington Humane Society or the Michael J. Fox Foundation.

I volunteer once a week at Highgate, and Jean was such a beautiful lady,always so gracious and with so much dignity. Her lovely smile will be missed.
