Richard Hader Obituary

RICHARD ”DICK” E. HADER
January 8, 1934 ˜ October 7, 2018

Richard “Dick” E. Hader, 84, passed away Sunday, October 7, 2018 in Kalispell, MT. He was born on January 8, 1934, in Chester, MT to S.E “Bud” and Florence Hader. Dick’s family later moved to Newport, WA and eventually settled in Kalispell where he graduated from Flathead High School in 1953.
Dick served his country honorably in the Army from 1954-56 at Fort Huachuca, AZ.
A previous marriage in 1959 to Betty Hull, relocated him from Kalispell to Vancouver, WA where he raised his 3 children.
Dick was blessed to return back to his beloved Flathead Valley after nearly 30 years. He was a master union carpenter in WA, OR, and MT until his retirement following the completion of the Kalispell Mall.
Dick was first and foremost an American patriot and passionate about maintaining the ideals of our nation’s forefathers. He was also an avid outdoorsman, horseman, and cattleman and couldn’t spend enough time outside in his various pursuits in the woods or on his ranch. He loved tinkering on home projects, and tending to his large garden. His spirit will shine down upon Big Sky country he dearly cherished. He also equally enjoyed spending nearly 30 years as a member of the Kalispell Eagles Club with his tight knit community of friends, especially on the dance floor!
Dick is survived by his sons, Wade Hader of Richland, WA and Curt Hader of Washougal, WA; daughter, Wendy Mayer of Vancouver, WA; 9 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; sister, Dorothy Berger; numerous nieces and nephews; and his true love, Judy Perry, who kept him smiling, laughing, and dancing until his passing.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Mickey Hader; sisters, Betty Lou Kenaston and Vickie Hader; and grandson, Ryan Mayer.
A celebration of Dick’s wonderful life will be held at the Kalispell Eagles Club at 12p.m. on Saturday, October 20. A luncheon will follow the celebration.

Dick was a drear friend of mine. I had the opportunity work with Dick. And spend time with him in Montana. I will miss my friend and cherish the fun and laughs we had together. Rest in peace my friend! Till we meet again!
