At first, I felt the loss of a good friend. Then, I felt very fortunate to have had a friend who enjoyed sharing great adventures such as traveling to Antarctica and taking the Trans-Siberian Railway from Beijing to Moscow. Gene will truly be missed.

Gene, our esteemed colleague, always made sure we all got a cookie or something to snack on during our meetings. He also bussed our tables kept us hydrated. Those humbling acts gave us all a glimpse of the endearing qualities Gene lived by every day.
You will be momentarily missed until we all reunite in the hereafter. Save us a cookie.
