ANTHONY "TONY" MEADE
November 8, 1930 ~ July 13, 2018
Mr. Anthony "Tony" Meade, a Navy veteran and longtime resident of the Vancouver, Washington area, passed away on July 13, 2018 with family by his side. He was born on November 8, 1930 in Emmetsburg Township, Iowa.
Anthony had a passion for and sang with a barbershop quartet for many years. He was a master Bonsai gardener for over 40 years, a love that he shared and passed on to many. He was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church.
Tony is survived by his sister, Barbara M. Piegari of Ashton, MD; his daughter, Linda Wikander of Gladstone, OR; and son, Philip Meade of Medford, OR.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Clara Ewers Meade and Clarke Francis Meade; eight sisters and a brother.
Friends and family are welcome to attend the funeral service, with a luncheon following and committal service at Mother Joseph Catholic Cemetery. Service will be officiated by Father Woody McCallister on Wednesday, August 8th at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, 4723 NW Franklin St., Vancouver, Washington.
