DALE RAY KENT
July 30, 1932 ~ May 26, 2018
Dale was born in Forest City, Missouri to Clyde and Edith Kent. He died after a courageous battle with cancer in Bethany, Oregon at his daughter Becky's home.
Dale was an Army Veteran who served in Korea.
He was a paper maker by trade for Boise Cascade at the Vancouver, Washington and St. Helens Mills for 35 years.
After an early retirement, Dale moved to the Oregon coast as owner of the Garibaldi Dry Dock and fishing vessel Lady Cecelia.
He is survived by his brother, Don Kent (Ernie); his children, Deb Moles (Gib), Kenny Kent (Debbie), Becky Reed (David), Tammy Kent and Tom Kent; also many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson.
Dale was preceded in death by his son, Tim Kent; brother, Bob Kent; and sister, Beverly Paulsen.
A special thanks to the doctors and nurses at the Portland VA Hospital and Seasons Hospice.
A Celebration of Life at the Vancouver Cascade Elks Lodge #823 will be held on Sun., June 17 from 1p.m.-4p.m.
