After years of wondering how you´ve been, I finally found you went to be with the lord. You were a wonderful man and will be missed dearly. My oldest joined the Marines and I´ve told him all about you and our daily talks before you worked out. Rest eat my friend.

Just heard about this today. This man was a huge blessing to my son who joined the Marine Corps in 2011. Sam went with him to the recruiter, spent time with my son and took him under his wing to make sure he was treated with dignity and respect and that he knew what to except when he joined.
He welcomed him back from boot camp with open arms and spent time talking to him about experiences and answering questions...
Thank you sir for your service and you are dearly missed but, will never be forgotten!

It was an honor to know and work with Sam at the Port of Vancouver. He made work fun, and he truly gave to this country through his military service and the kids at the school. I
