CHRISTINE BLACKFORD PIENKOWSKI
May 3, 1947 ~ June 22, 2017
Christine passed away the evening of June 22, 2017 after a lengthy battle with ovarian cancer. Chris' husband, Walter Pienkowski, survives as do her children, Paige Pienkowski-Blackford and Jon Eric Pienkowski.
We will be having a celebration of life for Christine at 1:00pm on Saturday, July 29th, 2017, at Cherry Grove Friends Church, 9100 NE 219th Street (corner of NE 219th Street - Main Street, Battle Ground - and NE 92nd Avenue, Battle Ground, Washington 98604. A potluck will follow at the church.
We are asking all who would like to come help celebrate her life. Come share stories of how she helped and loved those around her, stories of how deeply she cared for those less fortunate, stories of how she helped us grow or where we may have helped her grow and also celebrate her love for photography and the arts as well. We would just like to use this day to celebrate Chris' life.
To all that knew her, we would love for you to come and be with us all to celebrate a life well lived!
"Death leaves a heartache no one can heal.
But Love leaves a memory no one can steal. Your life was a blessing, your memory a treasure; you are loved beyond words and missed beyond measure!"
Again, we'll be having a potluck following the service. So please feel free to bring a main dish, side dish or desert. Also feel free to get in touch with Jon-Eric or Paige to find out what might be needed or to help prevent duplicate dishes.
In lieu of flowers or gifts, Chris' wish was that friends donate what they might otherwise have spent on flower or gifts, to one of these three charitable organizations:
The Humane Society
