DONNA M. PETERSON

Donna Peterson of Vancouver, WA, passed away quietly, in her home, on March 17, 2011, at the age of 81. She joins her beloved husband, Leonard, in heaven, with many of her cousins, aunts, uncles, and parents.
Donna worked for Prudential Life Insurance Company for 28 years, before retiring. Subsequent to her retirement, she and Leonard moved to Vancouver, WA to join her son, daughter, and two brothers. Many wonderful memories were made during the twenty-five years spent with her family and new-found "West Coast" friends.
Donna loved spending her spare time caring for her home and working in her church, where she taught Sunday School, served on her church's board, orchestrated church Thanksgiving dinners, worked as Missionary President, and was a dependable link in her church's prayer chain.
Survivors include her son, David Peterson, Nampa, ID; daughter, Debbie Peterson, Vancouver; foster daughter, Sandra Hoekstra, Minneapolis, MN; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held on Sat., April 9, 2011 at Camas Church of the Nazarene, Camas, WA.
Burial will be at Willamette National Cemetery in Portland, OR.

Donna, I thank God that you were a part of my life when I needed a true friend. You will be so missed, but I know Heaven is a richer place for your being there.

I am so sorry for the loss of a lovely lady, however, I know she is dancing with her husband and the angels. Any one who loved the Lord as much as she, will be having the time of her life, praising the Lord and singing songs.
