Dick is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Mary Louise. He leaves behind six children: Linda June Stahl of Ohio, Richard Jr. of Georgia, Kathleene Louise Baldwin of Washington, Norman Cleo of California, Timothy Evan of California, and Susan Pearl Baldwin Fox of California. Dick is preceded in death by his father, Glenn A. Baldwin Sr.; mother, Edna June Davis; and brother, Glenn A. Baldwin Jr.
Dick enjoyed almost 23 years service to his beloved country in the Army, where he performed several different duties including: Artillery, Signal Corps, Airborne, and Special Forces "Green Berets". He was involved in the Occupation of Japan, served two tours of Korea and two tours of Vietnam. For his allegiance he received the Army of Occupation Medal - Japan, the Korean Service Medal with two Bronze Stars, National Defense Service Medal, and the Bronze Star for Vietnam.
In 1970 Dick retired and he and Mary began civilian life. He went to college and received certification for watch and clock repair which instigated his passion for repairing and restoring antique clocks and watches.
In 1993 Dick and Mary retired, hitched up their belongings into their travel trailer and began an eight year journey to see the U.S., visit friends and relatives as well as ancestral sites. This began his love of researching his and Mary's genealogy.
In 2001 they decided to settle in Yacolt with their daughter Kathleene. Here Dick joined the American Legion Post 168 in Amboy and the VFW Post 12028 in Yacolt.
Dick passed quietly in his home with his beloved Mary by his side. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Dick
I was so sorry to hear about your passing, and I regret not being there to say goodbye. I can't imagine the emptiness Mary and the kids must feel without you around. The 40 years we had together seemed to go quickly, yet the memories of those days will last forever. Thank you for opening your heart, your home, and accepting me into your family. Don't worry about your little sister, I promise to take care of her. Rest in peace my brother...I hope to see you again someday!
