~ Together Again ~
Helen Eileen Bakker of Vancouver, WA, passed away on Feb. 21, 2011 at the age of 87. She was born in the family farmhouse outside Townsend, MT on Aug. 25, 1923 to John and Agnes Mannix.
Helen, her husband and two sons moved to Vancouver in 1953 from Helena, MT.
Helen was a secretary for the VA Hospital.
She enjoyed playing bridge, pinochle and bingo-winning
three straight games of bingo a few days before her passing.
Helen is survived by her sons, Andy (Linda) Bakker of Hermiston, OR and Tom (Della) Bakker of Vancouver; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, John Bakker.
A memorial service will be held on Tues., March 8, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the building fund at St. Joseph Catholic Church.

I was fortunate to work with Helen for many years and always looked forward to seeing her. She was always positive and delightful, and told me stories of her family who was obviously important to her. I will miss her very much.
