MARK E. WOOSTER
February 17, 1963 ~ September 26, 2013

Mark was born February 17th, 1963 in Oregon City, Oregon and passed away suddenly in the early morning hours of September 26th, 2013 in Vancouver, Washington.

Growing up, Mark attended Battle Ground and Prairie High Schools, graduating in 1981.

He loved reading, cars, and sports. Mark coached soccer, basketball, and softball for over twelve years in the Salmon Creek area for all three of his daughters.

Mark always played hard and worked even harder. He spent over 25 years in the trucking industry as a diesel mechanic and welder. Mark took great pride in his craft. He devoted long hours and epitomized dedication with each of his projects.

Yet, his greatest source of pride and love was his family. He cherished his wife, Wendy, of 28 years, and his three beautiful daughters Andrea, Heidi, and Monica, for whom he would do anything.

He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

We love you so very much Dad.
Please watch over us until we all reunite someday.

Wooster Family: I am praying for you daily since I heard of Mark's passing. I grew up with Mark on 102nd st. The Woosters lived two houses down and I have so many great memories of playing football in the field or back yard, baseball on Mike's teams, basketball in the backyard, sleep outs on our deck. Kevin and I were the oldest but Mark was such a dear friend growing up. I loved him like a brother. I have read the tributes to Mark and am not surprised that he was a good husband and father. I am so sorry that I never had the priveledge to see him again and meet his wife and girls. I also have daughters and a wife of 31 years. Please be comforted by God's grace and the hope of eternity through Christ where you will see your husband and daddy again.....Mike, Ellen, Kevin and family I miss you all and am so sorry for your loss as well, God Bless you and comfort you.

Dear Wooster Family, I am so sorry to hear about Mark. I went to school with him at Prairie, and even though it has been over 30 years since I've seen him, I can still see that big beautiful smile. I never ever heard him say a negative word about anyone.(not even when he was laughing at my Wendy's uniform on his breaks from Safeway :) What an amazing guy you all had for so many years! My prayers are with all of you.

Wendy, I am at a loss for words to see that Mark passed away. My heart goes out to you and your family. I see your mom occasionally as I have a rental house up the street from where your folks live. She keeps me up to date on the girls. But this is a complete shock. I always appreciated the help Mark gave to the team when Heidi played softball for me. I know your families will greatly miss him, as will many of us who knew him too. My prayers are with you all.

To the Mark Wooster Family,
I was very saddened when I read of Marks passing in the paper today. Both of my sons Jeff Wood and Brett Wood worked with Mark at Safeway for some time and they were
all close. I was always impressed with Marks maturity and good work ethic. I very much feel your loss, as our son Jeff passed away October 12, 2008. He always spoke of Mark
with great fondness. Blessings to all of you in this very
difficult time, our hearts are with you. Mrs. Patricia Mayer

Dear Wooster Family,
Mark, his brother Kevin and my son, Dwight Gray spent a lot of time playing in our back yard on 102nd Street. The boys were a joy to have around the house. Mark's Mother Ellen and I were very good friends at that time, but as time marches on, we all end up going our own ways.
I was so shocked and sorry to learn of Mark's passing and my prayers go with each of you.
Sincerely, Karen and Syd Muzzy

To the Wooster Family,
I'm so sorry for your loss. Mark was a close friend in high school. And although we've lost touch since then, I will never forget him trying to teach me how to play golf—I was a hopeless student and he was a very patient teacher. It's a memory that epitomizes his great sense of humor, patience and generosity. I can only imagine the thousands of wonderful memories of him you must also have. I wish you all the healing power of those memories and the knowledge that he undoubtedly loved you immensely. My thoughts are with you.

We are also sad to hear of Mark's passing. We have many wonderful memories of him. The many games, the traveling to places before GPS, rehashing the lousy referees and their game-changing calls. Mark was so involved with his family and his work.It was easy to see how much he loved his family. He always faced life's challenges with a smile and everything he had. He will be missed.

My family and I were very sorry to hear that such a great guy had passed on.
I first met Mark many years ago when our daughters were playing soccer. Later, he was Evonne's and my Asst. Coach.
In all the years that I knew Mark, he never had an unkind word for anyone. He was a good man. The world is somehow less without him in it.
