REBECCA JEAN GLENDENNING
September 2, 1979 ˜ April 29, 2020

Rebecca Jean Glendenning died peacefully surrounded by family at home in Vancouver, Washington on April 29, 2020. She was born Sept. 2, 1979 at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Tacoma, Washington.
Her personality was bright like the sun. She cared deeply for her family and friends. Rebecca was the type of person who could strike up a conversation with a stranger and feel connected to them in 10 minutes because she led her life with a heart full of compassion. You could always find Rebecca by following the sounds of someone dancing to 80’s music. Those who knew her well remember her love for anything 80’s (music, movies, arts).
She attended Pleasant Valley Elementary and Middle School, Prairie High School and Clark College. She had a very strong work ethic at a young age and held down multiple jobs at the same time as a teenager. In her adult life she worked in banking for her love of customer service and then cosmetics for her love of makeup and perfume. She also found joy in floral design, reading, writing and cooking for family.
On October 25th, 2009, she met Travis Glendenning. They fell in love instantly, had a beautiful son and were married on October 5th, 2013. It was a sunny happy day. She is in our hearts and memories; she is our guardian angel now. Her two favorite places were the mountain cabin and Hawaii. Her laughter was infectious. She lived her life with a heart full of compassion, putting others first, especially her immediate family. Her pain is over now, she rests in peace somewhere over the rainbow. The day she was born, there was a rainbow outside the hospital. Shortly after she passed there was a rainstorm, and then a full vivid with color rainbow appeared in the sky as if to say, I’m safe, I’m comfortable, my heart and soul are still with you. So, carry on, live your best life. Everyone will always remember the good days and that infectious laugh. Her son has her laugh.
Rebecca is survived by her husband, Travis Glendenning and their son, Roman W Glendenning; parents, Stephen Lloid and Martha Lloid; sisters, Anna Lloid and Sarah Lloid; twin brother, Zachary Lloid; sister-in-law, Tina Lloid; nephews, Stephen and Spencer. Because she passed too young, she is also survived by so many other wonderful aunts, uncles, cousins and in-laws, too many to list.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, John Kneeshaw, Lois Kneeshaw, H. Walton Lloid, and Winnifred Barbara Carpenter Lloid.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a future date. Her ashes will be spread at the family mountain cabin and Hawaii.
