MARY L. SULLIVAN
March 11, 1934 ˜ May 31, 2020

Mary L. Sullivan passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 31, 2020 of Leukemia. She was born in Portland, Oregon before moving to San Diego where she raised her 3 children. In the mid 1970’s she returned to the Northwest and settled in Vancouver, Washington which was her home for the last 45 years.
She worked a long time in the restaurant industry before changing jobs and started working in the construction industry. Mary has made a lot of friends along the way.
Many of her friends have told amazing stories about Mary. She loved her Bingo and those who played Bingo will miss her deeply. Mary supported her children in sports. She coached her daughters in softball when they were younger and supported her son in his sporting endeavors. Mary loved fishing and she would go fishing with her kids all the time when they were younger. Her last time fishing was in San Diego last June when she caught a small Bass and a spider crab on the Ocean Beach Pier, you should have seen her face, all smiles.
Mary also loved her 18 great-grandchildren, 9 grandchildren and her 3 children. She also loved her sister-in-law. Mary Schwary, who took care of her the last 3-4 years. No words can express how grateful Mary’s family appreciates her for her selflessness and love she gave our mom, Thank you Mary Schwary.
Mary was preceded in her death by her parents, Micky and Lena Schwary; and brother, George Schwary.
She is survived by her 18 great-grandchildren, 9 grandchildren and her daughters, Theresa Marcotte, Cheryl Gonzales; and her son, Michael Sullivan. She also is survived by her brother, and his wife, Joe and Marian Schwary; and her sister-in-law, Mary Schwary.
