BARBARA ANN (BURGER) NEFF
April 15, 1932 ~ July 23, 2013
Barbara Ann (Burger) Neff, 81, died in her home on July 23, 2013. Born in Boulder, CO, she grew up there and received her B.A. degree from the University of Colorado, Boulder, in 1953. A week before graduation, she married John Lewis Neff, of Tulsa, OK.
They settled in Spokane where John practiced law. Barbara was active in a variety of volunteer activities, PEO, the Spokane Public Library, on the board of Camp Fire Girls, active in Manito Methodist Church and busy with her daughters and their many activities.
Barbara moved to Vancouver in 2004, following 45 years in Spokane. Since moving to Vancouver, she has been an active member of Mill Plain United Methodist Church, managed advertising for The Villager newspaper, was a 60 year member of P.E.O., and participated in a local chapter of the Red Hat Society.
She is survived by her four daughters, Diana Neff of Longmont, CO, Nancy Hoover of Manitowoc, WI, Janet Mulderink of Vancouver, WA, and Shirley Allen of Everett, WA; a brother, Donald Burger of Niceville, FL; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Barbara was preceded in death by John, her husband of 50 years.
The memorial service for Barbara will be held August 10th at 1 p.m. at Mill Plain United Methodist Church.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Salvation Army or Mill Plain United Methodist Church.

Barbara has been so important to our Good Timers' group at Mill Plain Methodist. She was always willing to help in any way that she could. She recently volunteered to send e-mails to our members notifying them of our meetings in Sept. We will miss her very much. Lois & Harlan Collins
