Fred "Wayne" Lindsley, 70, passed into the loving arms of his savior on Tuesday, April 23, 2013 after a short battle with cancer. He was born to Fred and Dorothy Lindsley in Fredonia, Kansas. He moved to Vancouver with his family as a child. He graduated from Evergreen High School in Vancouver, Washington.
Wayne married Lyla Bonnie Nelson. They had two sons, David and Paul.
Following the death of Lyla in 1997, Wayne met and married Juanita Worden.
Wayne retired in 2004 after working at the Camas paper mill for 42 years.
Wayne was an active member at Vancouver First Church of God, where he loved serving God and others as an usher. He also enjoyed maintaining his home and yard, which showed his meticulous attention to detail. His greatest joy in life was in spending time with his family, especially in the last few months.
Wayne is survived by his wife, Juanita; sons, David of Ridgefield, WA and Paul (Erica) of Sherwood, OR; step-sons, David Worden (Amy) of Vancouver, WA and Brian Worden (Suzanne) of San Antonio, TX; seven grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Cole and Hayley Lindsley and Julia, Sophia, Abby and Eli Worden; seven brothers; one sister; and numerous nieces and nephews.
