Eric was a loving son, brother, husband and father.
He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

Eric Jason King, 38, died Mon., April 8, 2013 in Vancouver, WA, after a long battle against cancer. He was born Jan. 7, 1975 in Vancouver, WA to Ken and Barbara King. Eric graduated from Columbia River High School where he lettered in wrestling, placing third in the District his Junior year.
After attending Clark College in Vancouver, he went on to work for UPS and Metro Metals Northwest, Inc. in Portland, OR.
Eric dedicated 25 years to the discipline of Taekwondo, in which he was a seasoned veteran Black Belt. He won a bronze medal in the 2010 US Open international Taekwondo tournament. He was passionate about training in the art of Jeet Kune Do for 13 years. His love of all sports throughout his life was enjoyed, everything from scuba diving to golf. Eric loved singing, animals, and researching healthy living.
Eric had a strong faith in Jesus Christ and it was
very important to him to convey how God worked
in his life. He loved studying the King James Bible
and prayer which saw him through difficult times.
Eric is survived by his beloved wife, Nina (Dunn) King; son, Henry King; parents, Ken and Barbara King of Vancouver; brother and sister-in-law, Troy and Joy King; nephews, Xander and Jasper King; grandparents, Chuck and Marie Mickey; uncles, Don Mickey, Terry King and Bob King (Lee); aunts, Stephanie Feeney Mickey and Connie South (Lynn); mother-in-law, Patti Berglund; fathers-in-law, John Berglund and Ken Dunn; brother-in-law, Shannon Dunn and his fiancé Debbie Benecke.
A Celebration of Life service for Eric will be held Sat., April 27th, 2013 at 1:00 p.m., at Cascade Park Baptist Church, 1201 SE 136th Ave., Vancouver, WA 98683.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Nina King at IQ Credit Union.
