FLOYD LEWIS ROE
May 20, 1941 ~ February 22, 2013

Floyd Lewis Roe was born May 20, 1941 in Laramie, Wyoming to Kenneth and Phyllis Roe. He passed away quietly, February 22, 2013, at home with his wife and kids by his side.
Floyd spent 20 years in the US Navy earning numerous awards and commendations, and during the Vietnam War he earned a Bronze Star. Floyd retired from the Navy in 1977, after that he was a machinist, house painter, and a loving family man.
Floyd met Rae in 1985 and helped raise Shiela, Tracy and Sony. He married Rae August 12, 1995 and was a wonderful husband and father.
Floyd is survived by his wife, Rae; his children, Shiela Laukala (Randy), Tracy Whitman (Kathy), Sonya Varin (Tim); a brother, Donald Roe; and five grandchildren, Brandon, Tyler, Jordan, Joshua, and Gabriel; and of course his two favorite pups, Chewy and Pixie.
Viewing will be Thursday, February 28, 2013 at Evergreen Memorial Gardens from 12:30 to 9:00 p.m. Funeral service with Military honors will be Friday, March 1, 2013 at 9:30 a.m. at Willamette National Cemetery in Portland, Oregon.

Oh,my where do I begin, I knew both floyd and donnie way back when i was a very small little girl.My mother and his mother were best friends. I loved her as much or more than my own mother. Floyd never paid much attention to me, but, I always adored him and donnie. they thought I was just alittle pest, im sure. Ill miss you floyd, and I no, you are with philly now, and you both have so much to talk about. Im sorry I missed you the times you came to fat daves , Fly with the Angels my friend!Your Home now!

I will miss this very special man. Floyd played a good game of pool but every now and then he would let me win I think he felt bad I can't play pool with out it being a marathon but when he wanted to he would win I"ll miss seeing him at meat shoot but I know he will be there in spirit.
