MICHAEL R. FEDEROVITCH
September 22, 1943 ~ May 11, 2012

Michael R. Federovitch, 68, of Vancouver, WA, died Fri., May 11, 2012, at PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center. He was born in Lackawanna County, PA to Helen and Michael Federovitch.
Michael is an amazing success story:
Son of a coal miner, Michael grew up in Scranton.
He joined the Air Force after high school.
After his military service, Michael went to work for the National Advisory Committee for Aeronautics (precursor to NASA) in Florida where his son Eric was born.
Michael and his family returned to Scranton, PA where he obtained his Bachelor's degree from the University of Scranton in 1972.
In 1972, a job with the Corps of Engineers brought Michael and his family to the west. In 1976 his son John was born in Walla Walla, WA.
He obtained his MBA from the University of Portland in 1985.
Michael worked for the Bonneville Power Administration from 1980 until his retirement in 2006.
Michael was an active and giving member of the Catholic church, volunteering regularly while embracing an active life style. He was an avid outdoor enthusiast; he enjoyed running, cycling, and golfing.
A perfect day for Michael would begin with a run in Forest Park followed by a cup of coffee at Starbucks.
Michael is survived by his mother; sons, Eric and John; sister, Carol Spry; and grandson, Nicolas Federovitch.
He was preceded in death by his father.
A memorial Mass for Michael, will be held at 11 a.m., May 24, 2012 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Vancouver, WA.
