Nancy L. (James) Zilm was born in Vancouver, WA on Jan. 1, 1946 and was called home to her Savior on Jan. 10, 2011. She was the daughter of Kenneth and Dorothy (Claflin) James. Nancy was married to Gary Zilm on Sept. 11, 1964 after she had graduated from Fort Vancouver High School.
She and Gary lived in Vancouver where she was a housewife and mother to their son, Eric.
Nancy was a member of Grace Lutheran Church. She was also President of Salmon Creek American Legion Auxiliary Unit 176. She enjoyed crocheting and trips to the beach and to the mountains.
Nancy is survived by her husband of 46 years, Gary; their son, Eric; three grandchildren, Jacob, Victoria and Evan Zilm; sisters, Linda James and Theresa Wessels; brother, Steve James; numerous nieces and nephews; and two sisters-in-law in Minnesota.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and sister, Barbara Bourn.
Viewing will be at Evergreen Memorial Gardens, 1101 NE 112th Ave. on Jan. 15, 2011 from noon to 9:00 p.m. and Jan. 16, 2011 from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. A service for Nancy will be held at Grace Lutheran Church SE, 9900 Mill Plain Blvd. at 1:00 p.m. on Jan. 17, 2011 with Pastor Mark Heuser officiating.
Memorials can be made in her name to Grace Lutheran Church.
