LAWRENCE RUSSELL BONEBRAKE
August 15, 1932 ~ July 22, 2014

Lawrence Russell Bonebrake, 81, resident of Vancouver, WA, passed away on July 22, 2014 of lymphoma. Larry was born on August 15, 1932 in Woodland, WA to Winfred Hoarse Bonebrake and Hilda Aletha Suter. He graduated from Vancouver High in 1950. In 1950, he won a National Title at boxing in the 118 pounds division.
From 1951 to 1955, he served in the Air Force as a A & E mechanic, and was honorably discharged as a Buck Sargent.
He was a member of the American Legion.
Larry worked as a mechanic for Boeing, Halton Tractor, Hillsboro Landfill and retired from H & H Wood Recyclers.
He enjoyed golfing, NASCAR races and Air Shows/Races in Hillsboro and Reno, Nevada.
Larry is survived by wife, Gloryann Bonebrake, of 39 years; his brother, Tom (Millie) Bonebrake of Mills City, OR; his sons, Mike (Carla), Russell, DarrelGene (Denise) and Terry (Rochelle); step-children, Darrel (Dina) Ranger, Chris Phillips, Cyndi Eskins; grandchildren, Samantha, Olivia, Donny, Whitney, Taylor, Morgan and Lucas; and great-grandchildren, Quintin and, soon-to-be-here, Jagger Lee.
We would like to especially thank Linda Stevens of Amada Senior Care for the great, loving care she provided Larry.
Memorial services will be held Friday, August 8, 2014, 3 p.m. at Evergreen Memorial Gardens, 1101 NE 112th Avenue, Vancouver with a reception following.
