"He was a beloved husband and father."
Edward Fischer of Vancouver, WA, passed away peacefully in his sleep, April 17, 2014. He suffered from a very rare autoimmune disease called Hashimoto's Encephalopathy with symptoms that can mimic many different neurological disorders. He was mostly bed ridden since 2007 and lived at home since October 2009. We were blessed with a wonderful care giver, Mario Ineco, who enabled us to care for him at home.
Edward was a very accomplished businessman. He started a plumbing business before he was thirty years old and also became a building contractor. After that, he decided to retire and become a cattle and sheep rancher. He loved fishing and motorhome traveling.
Edward is survived by his wife, Marianne; three children; many grandchildren; and great-grandchildren.
Services will be held Wed., April 23 at 3:00 p.m. at Vancouver Funeral Chapel, 110 E 12th St., Vancouver, WA.
