a listening ear, and a story to tell."
William Clifton Barnhart, affectionately known as Barney, passed away in his home on Nov. 18, 2014. He was born on Aug. 8, 1926 in Portland, OR, but spent his early years on the family farm in La Center, WA.
During the Korean War, his military duty was spent in San Francisco at the Letterman Army Hospital.
Bill returned home to Woodland, WA where he and Norma raised their five children. He later returned to the family farm for the remainder of his life.
Bill's survivors include three sons, Keith Barnhart of Seattle, WA, Larry Barnhart of Woodland, WA and Eddie Barnhart of La Center, WA; two daughters, Carol Crowe of Wauwatosa, WI and Karen Cassidy of Park City, UT; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
A reception will be held on Fri., Nov. 28, 2014 from 2-4p.m. at the Quay Restaurant in Vancouver, WA.
The family suggests donations in lieu of flowers on behalf of Bill Barnhart to the La Center Museum.
