Valree J. Joshua, 92, of Vancouver, WA, passed away peacefully at home on Dec. 3, 2012. She was born Aug. 23, 1920 in Gilmer, TX to Ulysses and Pette Montgomery. She was Valedictorian of her high school class and graduated from Bishop College.
After earning her Masters in Education degree from Lewis and Clark College in Portland, OR, she went on to teach for many years at the WA State School for the Deaf.
Valree is survived by her children, Joey, Michael, Jackie and Reggie; nine grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph B. Joshua II; and sons, Gerry and Ronnie.
A memorial service will be held Fri., Dec. 14, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at First Church of God, 3300 NE 78th St. Viewing will be Wed., Dec. 12th and 13th at Evergreen Memorial Gardens.
