Ted Buerk Obituary

TED BUERK
September 9, 1941 ˜ July 6, 2020

Born September 9, 1941 to Bud and Marjorie Buerk, Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, he died July 6, 2020, Camas, Washington. Ted grew up in North Vancouver, Canada where he skied Grouse Mountain, went steelhead fishing on Vancouver Island, and hunted upland game birds in Eastern Washington. He moved to Clark County in 1980 and became a member of the Slo Poks Car Club, and drag raced at oldies races. He was always a car guy who loved his hot rods.
He owned Buerk & Associates, whose salespeople sold paper and party goods as well as greeting cards to the gift industry throughout the Pacific Northwest.
Ted leaves behind his loving partner Cheryl; his sister Molly; his son Jacob; his son Joshua and his wife Wendy; and three grandchildren.
Ted’s quick wit and excellent storytelling skills always kept his friends and family laughing. He loved living in Camas on 4th Avenue East in his 100-year-old house until his passing.
Ted wished to thank his doctors and hospice nurses for the excellent care he received in the final phase of his life. At his request, no service will be held.

Ted...a great friend and fellow Slo Pok! Always there with a good laugh and a good story. We had some good times. You will be greatly missed my friend.

I first met Ted in the late 1970s. He was just starting out in the gift industry in theNW.

We did some fishing together and had a good time.

While we were competing in the gift business, we always remained friends.

RIP - Ted
