SUSAN JEAN (LARSON) WILSON
February 10, 1942 ~ September 20, 2017
Susan Jean Wilson, age 75, passed away peacefully on September 20, 2017, surrounded by her family at Legacy Salmon Creek Hospital, Vancouver, WA. She was a beloved sister, mother, grandmother and friend to many, and will be dearly missed.
Susan was born on February 10, 1942 in Albany, CA and was the oldest of six children. She is survived by her two children, Craig Coleman and Stacey Metz; four of her siblings, Ellen Holt, Gail Stone, Ann Larson and Carl Larson Jr.; and four beloved grandchildren, Miranda Coleman, Kevin Coleman, Emma Coleman and Jaylia Metz.
Susan spent the first half of her life in California. She was born and raised in the Bay Area, and later graduated from Truckee High School in 1960, then went on to study business at the University of California in Reno.
Susan enjoyed many things in life; good food with friends and family, the beach, china painting with her girlfriends, the fall leaves, and of course, her cat. She was also a person who always had time to listen, and could always lift your spirits. Susan was a cup half full person, whom we could all learn a lot from.
Most of Susan's 55 year working career was spent dedicated to Larson's Bakery. First in Los Altos, CA, then in Berkley, CA, and finally here in Vancouver WA. The bakery is the center of our family's universe, and Susan was the face of Larson's until her retirement in January of this year. Gail (Larson) Stone, Susan's sister, will continue as sole proprietor of the family business that was started by her father in 1927.
A remembrance of life will be held on Sunday, October 15, 2017, at the Brickstone Ballroom, 105 West Evergreen Blvd., Vancouver, WA 98660 in downtown Vancouver, from 3:30-5:30 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, please just make someone smile today. Mom would have wanted it that way.

I was lucky to work for such a kind, caring person at my very first job. I loved my years working at Larson's and Sue made me feel welcome and valued from the first day. She had a great laugh and a big heart. I'm sorry to have lost touch over the years. My condolences to the whole family.

Mom, I miss you more and more everyday. You were such a special person to me and to everyone! You taught me so much. I don't have the right words to describe how much I love you and how much I will miss you. Thank you for taking such great care of your family. We love you forever.
