SHARON LOUISE SHARP
September 6, 1947 ~ December 22, 2017

Sharon Louise Sharp, 70, of Amboy, WA, died Fri., Dec. 22, 2017. She was born to the late William and Eileen McGoffin, on Sept. 6, 1947 in New York City, NY. Sharon graduated from Springfield High School in Oregon in 1965 and received a BA in Psychology from the University of Oregon in 1969 then went on to receive an MA in Counseling Psychology from the University of Oregon in 1970.
She married Larry Sharp in 1968 and they lived together in Springfield, OR, before relocating to Amboy in 1975.
Sharon was a vocational rehabilitation counselor for the State of Oregon before founding two businesses, Sharp Consultation and Foothills Christian Counseling, which provided vocational rehabilitation counseling and family counseling, respectively.
Sharon most recently attended Cherry Grove Friends Church, but also for periods of time over the last several decades attended Green Mountain Baptist Church and Brush Prairie Baptist Church.
Sharon loved studying her Bible, gardening, visiting with friends, and spending time at home on the same land that was farmed by her grandparents.
Sharon is survived by her husband, Larry Sharp; her brother, Kenneth McGoffin; her two children, Barton Sharp and Lorica Stock; and her grandson, Jaden Stock.
A Celebration of Life event will be held at Cherry Grove Friends Church on Sat., Jan. 13th at 1 p.m.
