SHARON K. (CLARKE) MICHEL
November 14, 1946 ~ May 1, 2018

Sharon Michel, age 71, passed away on May 1, 2018. Born to Nick and Florene Clarke and raised in Oklahoma City, Sharon graduated from Harding High School in 1965 and the Oklahoma College of Liberal Arts in Chickasha, Oklahoma, in 1969. She pursued graduate coursework at Kansas State University and Washington State University, where she met her husband, Donald Michel. They married on October 2, 1971, and made their home in Vancouver.
Sharon was a stay-at-home Mom to two daughters, Nicole and Stephanie, volunteering at their schools and leading their Camp Fire troop. She attended Clark College to update her computer science certification, then worked as a systems analyst at Kaiser Permanente for 21 years before retiring in 2009.
Sharon enjoyed traveling, especially around the Pacific Northwest, spending time at the family cabin outside Corvallis, and playing bridge at Vancouver Bridge Club, where she assisted with member communications. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with family.
Sharon is survived by her two daughters and her sister, Beverly Clarke. Sharon was much loved and will be dearly missed.
A celebration of life will be held at Brown's Funeral Home in Camas on Saturday, May 5 at 2p.m.
