ROGER JANSSEN

Roger Janssen, 75, of Vancouver, WA, passed away Feb. 4, 2017. He was born in Lake Henry, MN on Nov. 27, 1941 to Irene (Kascht) and Edmund Janssen.
Roger served in the Marine Corp from 1960-1963.
He worked for Klein Motor Co. and Asphalt Inc. as a heavy equipment operator.
Roger was passionate about cars! He enjoyed attending cars shows and races, reading, and camping.
He was a member of the VFW and St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church.
Roger is survived by his wife, Karen; daughter, Dayna Robbins; son, Dan; grandchildren, Ryan, Rebecca, Jacob, Joshua and Justin; and his siblings, Jan Caribeau, Bernice Ziebol, Ken Janssen, Patty Partch, and Julie Fix.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Lloyd Janssen.
A memorial service will be held on Sat., Feb. 11, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at St. John the Evangelist.
Memorial donations may be made to the American Liver Foundation.

Karen & I worked together at Children's Hospital in San Diego.
Roger was the sweetest man. He & Karen were so cute & loving together.
Words can not describe how sorry I am to hear about Roger.

Karen, Dayna and Dan, we are very saddened by the loss of your husband, dad and grandfather! Cherish the love he gave, and not the loss. Uncle Roger is an amazing man and everyone connected to him in one way or another with have a great hole in their hearts for his passing! Know that my family and I are all praying for strength and comfort today and in the days to come. Wish we could be there to help you during this difficult time.

One of the hardest things a person has to do in life is say goodbye to a loved one. Roger was not only my big brother, he was a wonderful son, husband, father, grandfather and truly a wonderful person. He will be missed dearly.
