ROBERT "HAT" LE'ROY FRANKLIN

"Hats smile and laugh lifted spirits
and brightened a dark day!"
Hat died peacefully at home on Jan., 23rd 2017. He was born on Aug. 8th, 1952. While raised in Vancouver WA, he lived in Camas and Washougal for 40 years.
Hat was an amazing artist with talent that was indescribable. His talents ranged from sketching, painting, and hand carved beautiful canes for disabled Vets and friends.
Hat is survived by his only daughter, Sheila Plato and beloved son-in-law, Gerald Plato Sr. of Washougal, WA; his 4 grandchildren: #1 granddaughter, Blayke Franklin, his baby granddaughter, Haley Plato, his oldest beautiful girl, Crystal Plato, and THE BOY, Gerald Plato Jr., all of Washougal; 7 incredible great-grandchildren; 2 sisters and family's: Pat and Bill Faller of Vancouver, WA and Sue and Mike Hounshell of Lake Steven, WA; and several nieces and a nephew that he loved very much. Hat was loved by so many friends! Listing them would be impossible. His true love will love him forever, his cat Ruby!
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Lori Franklin of Vancouver, WA.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Sat., Feb. 11, 2017 at 3:00 p.m., at the American Legion, 10221 Washougal River Road, Washogual, WA 98671. It will be a pot luck, so bring yours or Hats favorite dish.

Healing prayers to Sheila and all the family. I remember Bobby painted the art work on my parents boat years ago. He was a multi talented person. I know he will be missed by all those that knew him. He is now telling jokes up in heaven with his Dad and cousin Barbara (my mother)...God Bless
