"Robert will be greatly missed by family and friends."
Robert Larsen, 55, passed away at home in La Center, WA, on Nov. 6, 2012. He was born on Aug. 16, 1957 in Vancouver, WA but lived in La Center most his life and graduated from La Center High School in 1977.
Robert loved the outdoors and worked for the US Forest Service as a naturalist interpreter for 15 years, until 2007.
Even after a car accident in 1980, which left him a quadriplegic, could not slow him down.
He was extremely independent
and always willing to lend a helping hand.
Robert was an avid Oakland Raiders fan, and he had a love for hunting and fishing. Robert had a green thumb, which went hand in hand with his passion for trees and gardening.
Robert is survived by his mother, Clarice Tarpo; brothers, Douglas (Ginny) and Clifford (Renee); sisters, Peggy, Karen (Scott) and Roxanne; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews; and three very special young people, Kaia, Victoria and Zeke.
He was preceded in death by his father, Melvin Larsen.
There will be a memorial service at Highland Lutheran Church, located at 38809 NE 41st Ave., La Center, WA, 98628, Sat., Nov. 10, at 1:00 p.m.
