OLIVE B. BROSIUS
February 10, 1929 ~ March 23, 2018

Olive B. Brosius, 89, passed away on March 23, 2018 in Vancouver, WA. She was born during the Great Depression in Bathgate, ND and had many stories to tell of that era.
Olive married Edward Brosius at the age of 18 and moved from Minnesota to Vancouver at the age of 27, traveling on a train by herself with 5 young children to meet her husband who had already arrived.
Olive went by "Oly" to all of her friends and lived a long healthy life. She was a member of St. Johns Catholic Church for over 60 years and spent countless hours volunteering in many different areas, her favorite being the hours spent at St. Vincent DePaul.
Olive retired from the Battle Ground School District where she worked with Special Needs children for over 25 years. She loved her job and loved her children.
Olive's favorite past time was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She loved taking them to her favorite place, Wendy's. She loved the holidays, especially Christmas and always loved a houseful.
Olive is survived by her five sons, Leslie (Betsy), Leonard (Dinah), Richard (Lois), Roland (Lori) and Randy (Angela); four daughters, Sharon McKay (Gary), Marcia Elliott (Dennis), Michelle Potter (Joe) and Lori Brosius; 18 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; and her brother, Sonny.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward H. Brosius; sisters, Loraine, Bernice and Margie; one grandson, Ian; and her parents, Ellen and Albert Lauzon.
A rosary and mass will be said at St. Johns Catholic Church on Fri., April 27, 2018 starting at 10:30 a.m. A reception is to follow.
