NATHANIEL JOHN MORTELL
January 6, 1980 ~ July 15, 2012
Nathaniel Mortell, loving son, brother and friend, passed away July 15th, 2012. Born January 6, 1980, he lived in Vancouver, WA with his longtime girlfriend Darcy Hoffman, their dog Onyx and chameleon Monster.
Nathaniel was an Army Veteran and served at Fort Carson where he led a unit that maintained Kiowa helicopters. He was honorably discharged as a Sergeant from the 4th Squadron, 3rd Armored Cavalry Regiment "Brave Rifles." Nathaniel served in both Korea and Iraq.
He is survived by his parents, Dan and Tricia Mortell of Vancouver; his sister, Katrina Mortell currently of Austin, TX; and many other relatives.
A memorial service will be held Friday, July 20th at 10 a.m. at Elks Lodge in Vancouver.
In lieu of flowers, donations to an educational fund for his godson, Logan Hastings, will be accepted at any Chase bank.
