MELBA RUTH (ROBERTS) CHASSE
February 3, 1924 - October 17, 2014
Melba R. Chasse age 90, passed away peacefully on October 17, 2014 in Camas, WA.
Melba was born to Joe and Iris Roberts in Camas. She married Alfred Chasse in 1942 and they raised three sons and a daughter in Camas.
Melba and her husband, Alfred, moved to Ocean Park, WA in 1977 where she lived until her return to Camas in 2007.
Melba had many interests and hobbies including; camping, snow skiing, boating, hula dancing, painting, ceramics, gardening. She enjoyed several years of wintering in Quartzsite, AZ.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Iris Roberts; husband Alfred L. Chasse; sister Gloria Monaghan and grandson John Chasse.
She is survived by her children Ed (Geri), Joe, Leslie, Andrea (Paul); niece Michelle Olson; and grandson Codi.
No service is planned at this time. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the South Pacific County Humane Society in Long Beach WA. (beachpets.com) or a charity of choice. Straub's Funeral Home and Columbia River Cremation in Camas has been entrusted with arrangements.

Mom, I wish I could tell you in person how much I miss you. You have always been there for me, the good times and the bad. I will always remember you for the beautiful woman that you were. Thank you for teaching me to think and do for myself and how to give to others. I love you bunches and bunches!
